ENGAGE delta county

In an effort to foster economic activity, diversify the local economy, and enhance the existing agriculture, education, and energy clusters the ENtrepreneurial Growth AGriculutural and Energy (ENGAGE) Initiative is operated under the umbrella of the Technical College of the Rockies and is done in partnership with Delta County Economic Development Corporation (DCED), Delta County, Delta County School District (DCSD), Small Business Resource Center (SBRC) of Region 10 Economic Development District and the Southwest Innovation Corridor (SWIC). The ENGAGE Project is a multifaceted initiative that supports, leverages, and creates the resources necessary for an innovative and entrepreneurial community.

Job-driven Skill Development

Create new certification programs at Technical College of the Rockies in Business Entrepreneurship, Advanced Manufacturing, Culinary Arts. Offer a new Extended Studies in Culinary Arts & Value Added Food Manufacturing through Technical College of the Rockies (ESCAFM).

Business Expansion

Business Expansion through kitchen incubation at Edesia Community Kitchen and Delta County School District Kitchens. Support entrepreneurship by providing ongoing business training and entrepreneurial activities with measurable results.

Innovation in Agriculture and Energy

ENGAGE will host Energy and Agriculture Innovation Summits to inspire cooperation and collaboration, and will also develop partnerships with energy industry, agricultural industries and university programs in the region.

E² ENGAGE Energy Conference

September 29-30, 2017 at the Paonia Energy Tech Center

Bringing senior multi-disciplinary energy experts and innovators from the fossil fuel and renewable energy sectors together to speak about the current state of our energy landscape in the West, and the opportunities offered by the future energy landscape.
